Overhaul and Replacement of Facility Monitoring & Safety Systems 

Hugh L. Carey Tunnel (HLCT) & Queens Midtown Tunnel (QMT).

AAAA Consulting served as a subconsultant to IEI, supporting the Liro-Hill team by providing resident engineering and construction inspection services for the modernization of facility monitoring, electronic security, and life-safety systems at the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel and Queens Midtown Tunnel.

Our team provided field inspection, construction oversight, quality assurance, contract compliance monitoring, progress documentation, and coordination with the owner, contractor, and project stakeholders to help ensure the successful delivery of this critical infrastructure modernization project. The work supported the replacement and integration of advanced CCTV, access control, emergency communications, and facility monitoring systems to improve tunnel safety, security, operational reliability, and emergency response capabilities.
