CT3-CORR-CM – Construction Management Services for Remediation of Corrosion in Water Tunnel Facilities

AAAA Consulting joined the STV team as a subconsultant in pursuit of the CT3-CORR-CM contract to provide construction management services for the remediation of corrosion and rehabilitation of critical New York City water tunnel facilities.
Our proposed services include resident engineering, construction inspection, field coordination, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), contract administration support, progress monitoring, documentation, safety oversight, and coordination with the owner, contractor, and project stakeholders throughout construction.
The project scope includes the rehabilitation of three underground valve chamber complexes through corrosion mitigation and structural repairs, including the application of protective coatings to mechanical components, sealing of concrete encasements and wall penetrations to prevent groundwater infiltration, installation of drainage improvements and weep holes, repair of cracks, spalls, and delaminated concrete, concrete void injection, floor slope corrections, replacement of deteriorated gratings and walkways, cleaning and rehabilitation of piping systems, and other improvements to enhance the long-term reliability, safety, and operational performance of NYC DEP's critical water tunnel infrastructure.
